The announcement text: Our client is a leading London based main contractor. Their Special Works division requires an Account Manager to negotiate both internally & externally with customers & to provide clients with a single point of contact, offering high quality advice in procurement, logistics, cost & programme.

Sales & Estimating:
· Meet new clients, win opportunities to develop lasting relationships
· Prepare relevant company profile brochure with Proposals Dept
· Pitch for new projects
· During proposal stage, prepare the budget & prelims build up, obtain trade contractor bids, compile the proposal document & collate the overall document.
· Advise client on contract procurement routes available
· Develop an initial concept budget & prepare a detailed cost plan to agree with the client
· Agree contract arrangements with Financial Director & Client

Financial Management
· Prepare trade contractor bid list in conjunction with the Financial & Construction Director
· Preparation of procurement & construction programmes & monitor bid package tender schedule
· Agree 2nd stage lump sum tenders & GMP`s
· Compile trade contract bid documents & carry out tender analysis & issue purchase orders
Place orders & instruct trade contractors (including compiling sub contracts * works contacts * trade contracts)
· Advise on product selection, specifications & assist with the value engineering
· Attend design team meetings & trade contractor meetings
· Prepare, submit & agree monthly costs reports, collating information from other FM`s*AFM`s
· Prepare final account reconciliation (CVR), create regular budget & price updates, update computerised cost control system & prepare the month cost & progress report for Directors responsible
· Prepare monthly cost reports including any relevant information provided by divisional FM`s*AFM`s
· Ensure health & safety standards & requirements are in place from pre-construction & construction phase of project

Essential skills & qualifications
· IT literate - Word, Excel & PowerPoint. MS project ideal.
· Skilled in leading the preparation & delivering high level quality presentations
· Diplomatic negotiator * Client Focused * Commercially & technically aware

Personal attributes
· Give broad cost advice & conceptual budgeting
· Prepare proposals & act as the key presenter
· Delegation & staff management * motivation skills
· Min 5 years exp Recognised qualifications
